The October release of Lippincott Advisor reflects the following enhancements:

NEW CONTENT

• We're introducing a brand-new content set in the "Quality and Safety Navigator" section of Lippincott Advisor in this release! Clinical Guideline Summaries is a collection of concisely written synopses covering some of the most frequently accessed evidence-based practice guidelines that nurses and other clinicians use to help guide patient treatment and care. Designed to help fill the void created by the decommission of the National Guideline Clearinghouse website, each guideline summary provides a brief overview of the referenced document and then details the key clinical considerations that nurses need to know to do their job well. You'll find 118 entries in this first release, followed by 45 additional entries in each subsequent release.
• Both Quality Indicators and their corresponding Quality Improvement Strategies have been expanded to cover 25 new topics (that's 50 new entries in all), providing essential information to assist Healthcare Quality Managers, Infection Preventionists, and Professional Development Specialists as well as others in tracking quality measures and remediating identified quality issues.
• Also featured in this release are the latest NANDA Diagnosis Care Plans, including 17 brand-new diagnoses (for a total of 257 care plans), as well as 4 new Drugs recently approved by the FDA.
• Finally, all Nursing Care Plans for Medical Diagnoses entries will be significantly updated to feature a new "problem-based" format.
